Ruggleston's Daughter/The daughter of Peggy O
There was a little man came from the West
Fal de ral de ral de ral de ri-ge-o
He married a wife she was not one of the best
She was the driggle draggle daughter of Peggy O.
She wouldn't card she wouldn't spin
Fal de ral
She wouldn't work all in the kitchen
She was the etc.
She wouldn't bake she wouldn't brew
She wouldn't make her black look blue

(No no and I will not be your drudge) 1
She said No No I won't be your drudge
You'll get some other one to be your drudge
And this good man pulled his coat from back
And made his stick go midgy, midgy [sic] whack
On the driggle draggle daughter of Peggio
O I will card and I will spin
And I will work all in the kitchen
I will bake and I will brew
And I will make my black look blue
And if that wont do what I say now
I'll take the whip and go to plough
