Four men stand in line as above. Each holds a short stick 6 or 8 inches a part long and 1 1/2 in in diameter thick 2 & 3 hold their sticks in both hands, rest their hans on the midriff. 1 & 4 strike these held sticks from side to side as in single stick, more or less in rhythm with the music. This is called napping . Then 1 & 4 go the hey, 2 & standing still but step making time. They also call Ho as they strut the hey ,. Thus :

Alternately between napping then dance the hey, as 1 & 2 , 3&4, link right arms then lift, or swing.
Music nothing in particular, polka or schottische preferred
